The Ice Maker Recirculation Pump sends water over the evaporator plate to form a slab of ice that's then cut into cubes inside the appliance. This part is designed to be used with select Whirlpool® and other major brand icemakers; check to see if your model number is compatible. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also turn off the ice maker's water supply before you begin.
